Dr. Jerry Fisher, MD

After attending University of Oregon Health Sciences Center Medical School, and a residency in the Canal Zone of Panama, Dr Fisher practiced family medicine at Columbia Family Physicians for 30 years. He has always had a special interest in addictions, habituations and the care of chronic disease. He believes the patient is responsible to act as the active ingredient of the rehabilitation process.

Dr. Fisher has always enjoyed working as a member of a team, with each team member having special skills to be used by the patient in their healing. This now includes a connection to the alternative medicine community, which until recently, has not been fully included as a part of the healing community. As a member of the Forgey Sportsmed team, Doctor Fisher is proud to be in this new position practicing his skills. Taking histories, examining, diagnosing, teaching, training, facilitating and enhancing the healing process are his style of practice.

Evaluation and referral, both inside the clinic and outside as best suits each patient, are skills Dr. Fisher possesses. Administration of medicines is a part of his medical practice. Avoidance of addiction and habituation are basic tenets of his philosophy.
